February 5th, 2010 MGS MGR Recent developments:
I have started back doing what I really love. I have restarted my Musical Instrument Guitar Electronics Amplifier Restoration Station (www.MyGEARStation.com). I work with a local music store in Fayetteville, AR – Ben Jacks Music.
It is almost shameful being able to play my guitar through so many different amps. I’ve gotta test them, Don’t I :!)
Drop by for a visit. I am building my product page to sell some of my extra equipment. I go through each piece to correct any problems. If it wan’t for shipping I would give a warranty. As of now I sell everything AS IS – NOT Buyer beware. I do work the equipment over so it is functioning (not new but experienced!). If the customer is willing to pay return shipping then I would entertain a warranty period. I am investigating getting a 3rd party to handle warranties (might be a smart idea).

I have REALLY BEEN AWAY
January 14th, 2010 MGS MGR The whole year has past. It is now 2010. Must be a year number people are having lots of fun with. Just look at the combinations we have had so far: 01/02/2010, 01/20/2010, etc. :,)
It IS another year. Last year, was some really crazy stuff. I’m on the look out for more great music. It may well be the year of the INDIE. Go Guys! Find your niche and enjoy the varied rewards. I, too, have added some songs . See www.dba2020.us/yt001 for one of mine with a ppt for a business I’m promoting.

January 12th, 2009 MGS MGR Not institutionalized but very busy. I get so busy trying to make a living that I fail at making a life:!)

I am improving my voice with the help of some new friends at Songarama.

Hey, If your ever in ST Louis stop in at O’Charleys and say high to JBoozer. It’s the one on Lindbergh near the Motel 6. Hoppin’ place and a great bartender. If you like the word F$%’n in songs then you’ll become a fan of JBoozer.
Drop by, Drink a beer and buy one of his albums. Tell him that the gray haired wanna-be musician sent you. IT won’t get you no discounts but He’ll scratch his head trying to remember. Meanwhile you can visit the Band with One Man at his myspace as jboozer ( http://www.myspace.com/jboozer ).

April 16th, 2008 MGS MGR I hate my job. I hate my job. I hate my job! (Enuff – of the OCD).
Due to work and a previously scheduled meeting in a far away town – Cleveland, OH (Maybe I will appease myself with a visit to the Hall of Fame – small consolation for what I’m missing:,))
OK, Here’s what is going on. Earthtones music and art earthday celebration is taking place on Dicksonstreet in Fayetteville, AR next Thursday through Saturday (April 24 – 26th, 2008). Here’s some of the bands: Charlie Daniels Band, 38 Special, Shooter Jennings, Sonic Youth, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Little Feat, Great American Taxi, Blind melon, DJ Spiff, Jason Sterling, Vaxination, Bluetech, Techtonic, 1 Ounce Jig, Damn Bullets, Barefoot Bridage, Tassajara, Patrice Pike and Tiffany Christopher. What a great get together – 3 Days of music, parties, booze and food!
Me? Well, I’ll be in meetings until Thursday then I will begin the 14 hour journey home. Yes, Feel sorry for me but BY ALL MEANS YOU MUST ATTEND. Send me a note telling me all the great things you did and saw. I will be forever jealous.
But life goes on and I will pretend that all is well and I have not missed any part of the 24/7/365 party we call life.

I had a flash back
April 1st, 2008 MGS MGR Reading my BIO, I had a flash back. When I was in China, I was invited to a disco – yes a disco! They were playing the techno-heavy metal version of Cotton-Eyed Joe. I have heard and danced to Cotton-Eyed Joe in many flavors BUT never with the heavy techno style.
As for the disco, The Chinese were a little behind the music scene. They must have gotten reports from yesteryears and was just now getting into the western groove. Many years too late, I must add.

In the heart of THE Blues
March 17th, 2008 MGS MGR I find myself in the City of Memphis, TN. What can you say about the home of THE KING and The Blues. What a city! As if that’s not enough, You get the best BAR-B-QUE in the world. Just like the music the ribs can be a personal liking. BUT, MAN, YOU CAN FIND ALL YOU WANT HERE.
Beale Street has character and longevity. It has been the birthplace of many of Music’s icons. Icons who have bared their souls to us through their music and songs. Icons who by example leads us to our own level of greatness. Get on the soul train. Your soul is where you belong. You can, and only, you can decide the results of your labor. Will they be peace or strife?
May you reach your greatness. Keep in mind many started in places just like Beale Street. They started and never quit. Will you?
