New Syndicated Radio Program Brings Independent Music to the Mainstream

You may know this but it is news to me. I’m sure it will be new to many others. Undiscovered Radio Network – www.undiscoveredradionetwork.com has developed “Undiscovered.” It is a new syndicated broadcast radio program designed to assist independent artists in their dream of “Being Discovered.” They have a two hour show to feature independent rock and alternative artists. The hopefuls must have gained local or regional popularity yet not have the resources to spring into mainstream broadcasting.

Just got back in town today

Just returned from the Little Rock area. Another rockin’ place in this great US of A. I was fortunate enough to see the best side of Maumelle. Yes, that’s a city just north of Little Rock.

Anyways, I’m way behind on my goals for this blog. The next thing I need to do is join MySpace, MyFace, etc. and post a video of my music and me. It’s seems that time is of a premium and getting the little things done whilst trying to “keep food on the table” is getting in the way of my artisitic endeavors.

Okay, I realize it is all a matter of priorities. BUT, who the hell has time for priorities? The other issue I face is what do I want to be when I finally grow up? Should I be a rocker? Should I be a country bumpkin? Or, pursue my love of Chrisitian music? Headbanging would be a stretch but I’m prone to do a little now and then.

I have actually settled on a realization for my existence. I AM THE POSTER CHILD FOR INSANITY! Why? Because I keep doing the same stupid things and expecting different results. IF I didn’t then I would stop doing my day job and pursue my love of music on a full time basis.

Oh yeah! I am becoming aware of what personna I want to develop on the web. It seems that Foxxy Roxxy may be sorry for the personna she created. It may be what landed her in the Italian prison and is keeping her there. Not a pretty scene. Guilty or not, I wouldn’t want to be in her predicament. At the least, the Italians should have the US review the case in our courts.

Sorry for the digression. I really don’t want this blog to become a political hotbed. I want to be loved by you and be the lover of all who may rest their weary eyes upon the words written on these virtual pages.

Ain’t It funny (sic!) How Time Slips Away

My, how time files when you’re running down the road at 80 mph. Not only time but scenery, also. Just got back from IL. Carbondale is another rockin’ town in this GREAT US of A. We are lucky to live in such a great country. We need to lay down our differences and lift up our similarities then work to make this an even greater country to live in. We must open up communications with each other and practice the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as your want them to do unto you.”

Enough preaching, HUH?! Any way, I registered a url last year. It is vmothr.org. Long form is “Valued Member of the Human Race.” I am working on setting up a membership site and a validation for others’ site(s).

But back to my original thought. I am working on uploading some of my songs to this site. I am finally to the point that my EQ (Emotional Quotient) will stand feedback from the world. At least, I hope the world sees my blog.

Time is not our friend

I always believed that there would be lots of time. But in the autumn of my life I am seeing the true value of time. I have been on the road. I could update this blog but haven’t applied the discipline to make myself log on and do the updating. I will. I know I will.

Recently, in the Davenport, IA area, I found the music is as loud and hard as it is in my part of the country. They can really rock up there. I really enjoy the blast from the past they do so well.

While you’re in Silvis, IL, say “HI” to to the ladies at the corner restaurant on John Deere Road. They really know how to cook. I felt that I was home. It’s always good to feel at home even if you’re hundreds of miles away.
